Our country was forever changed on September 11, 2001; the day terrorists executed their evil plan against unsuspecting American civilians. While the blow was significant they succeeded only in solidifying our spirit and national resolve. They reminded us of our strength and courage. This was never more evident as in the actions of our First Responders. Our Fire fighters, EMT’s and Police officers showed us the meaning of valor as they raced into harms way as others ran out. We will forever be in their debt and we must never forget.

This is why we at Centerpointe Community Church of Lancaster have decided to hold our Second Annual 9/11 First Responders Memorial 5K Race. The race will serve as both a memorial to those who risked and lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks, and a fundraiser for the Volunteer Fire Fighters, Ambulance Corps and Police Benevolent Society and finally Centerpointe Community. The race is also a nod of appreciation to those public servants who risk their lives daily for others safety.

In order to make this race a success, we need people to register & participate, sponsors to help with funds, willing volunteers and any other generous donations from those who appreciate what was done for us on September 11th.
